Film is central to Olivia’s work as a photographer, and we chose to emphasize that throughout the copy. We wanted to make it accessible to couples who like the look of film, but don’t know much else about it. That meant details on how it affects pricing as well as explanations of different film types.

Olivia’s love of film goes hand-in-hand with her belief that your photos should probably not just live on your phone. So we also made sure to talk about the value of heirloom-quality prints and albums.

We also aimed to convey a sense of place throughout the copy, evoking the sights, sounds, and feel of New Orleans.

The Message

One thing we focused on is that Olivia is a hard worker, and she wanted that to show through rather than making things seem “effortless.” For example, we addressed the fact that no, she’s not a New Orleans native, but she’s put in the work to build a network and understand the rich history of her community.

Another thing that surfaced in reading reviews and talking to Olivia’s clients was that she invariably carved out space in the day for a couple to be alone together. Not only did her couples appreciate the break, but it also yielded some of their favorite photos.
