For your website to book the clients you want, copy and design need to work seamlessly together. The easiest way to do that is to hire an expert website designer who works with wedding pros, so that your site is easy to use, gorgeous to look at, and shows up in search.

A couple of notes before I share my favorite website designers for wedding pros:

  • Good SEO is a team effort, and your web designer needs to know what they’re doing in order for you to show up in the rankings. Every designer on this list takes SEO seriously and pays attention to best practices like tagging, image optimization, and page loading speed.
  • Most of these designers also offer brand design if you need it. Some will design a website with existing branding on a case-by-case basis, others prefer to start from scratch with new branding when you hire them.

To make it easier, I’ve sorted the website designers on this list by their main platform, but most of them work on two or more platforms.

Showit Website Designers for Wedding Pros

Even though many of these designers can create websites on other platforms, Showit is their bread and butter. And not only do they make beautiful sites, but they ensure that they’re correctly optimized for SEO.

Emily Foster Creative

Platform: Showit, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify
For you if: You want design that’s strategic, not trend-driven

Emily is the designer behind my own brand and site, so this list was always going to start with her. She offers everything from mini brands to fully custom websites like this one, and she also does adorable hand-drawn icons (which, again, you can see all over my website).

While most of Emily’s website design clients are in the wedding industry, she doesn’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” website design. Scroll through her portfolio, and you’ll see everything from bright & bold to light & airy.

We’ve also worked on a number of other projects together, including two wedding venues (Chateau Lill and Sandy River Getaway).

Inkpot Creative

Platform: Showit

For you if: You’re tired of the chokehold that beige and light blue have on the wedding industry

Inkpot Creative is all about bold, unusual color pairings, playful typography, and easy-to-read websites. One look at their website and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with KP and Jessie several times, most recently on projects for Corey Tucker, Olivia Yuen, and Kelly Loss.

Alex Collier Design

Platform: Showit

For you if: You want your website to match your high-touch client experience

Alex Collier is a brand & website designer for wedding pros who know their website needs to serve as an entry point to their luxurious client experience. (She compares it to an invitation suite: yes, your website provides must-know details like location and price, but it also provides a preview of how they’ll feel when they choose to work with you.)

She also designed one of my most-recommended Showit website templates, Olive Tree, which was created in partnership with Sara Does SEO to make sure it’s both user-friendly and search-optimized.

Artful Brands

Platform: Showit

For you if: You love an airy website with fine art touches

Katie from Artful Brands doesn’t just look at what other designers are doing. She draws inspiration from vintage wallpaper, textured paper, and art history, then layers them into her clients’ sites to create something completely unique. To see what I mean, take a peek at the website she designed for wedding photographer Sophie Kaye, inspired by classical art and Sophie’s Parisian flea-market finds.

Sarah Kleist

Platform: Showit, Flodesk

For you if: You want someone to push the envelope on how far you can customize a template

Sarah Kleist is the queen of template customizations. She starts with your template and makes it fully your own within just a week. She often shares before-and-afters on Instagram, and it’s wild how custom she can make a template look.

One of her strengths is designing around the copy that her clients give her. Good design makes you want to read all the copy on a site, and Sarah knows exactly how to draw your eye down the page. (Just look at this site she customized for my client Alexandria Vigliotti.)

In addition to designing Showit websites, Sarah also creates Flodesk email templates so your email sequences are just as eye-catching as your website.

The Odd Creatives

Platform: Showit, Squarespace, GoHighLevel, Kajabi (and a lot more)

For you if: You want every single touchpoint to be on-brand

Da from The Odd Creatives isn’t just a website designer, she’s a funnel designer. In other words, she’ll design every single asset you need for a launch, across platforms, so they all match.

Lately her sales page designs keep popping up on my Threads feed, and I’ve been charmed by every single one (most recently, this sales page for an Instagram strategist whose brand has a garden theme).

For example, if you’re launching a digital product, you can book her to design the sales page, the checkout, the confirmation page, the workbook itself, and even the emails clients receive after they buy.

J. Ashley Innovations

Platform: Showit

For you if: In her own words, “you want to show up as the boldest version of yourself”

Jordan from J. Ashley Innovations describes her work as color-drenched. Not only do her sites lean into color, but she also makes the most of Showit’s capabilities by layering in tons of movement.

Her motto is that high-end doesn’t have to mean beige or boring (I completely agree, by the way).

She’s also designed some of my favorite Showit website templates for wedding pros.

Nous Sommes Creative

Platform: Showit, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, Flodesk, Kajabi

For you if: You want your brand to have a distinctive visual language

Monica at Nous Sommes Creative describes her work as a combination of strategy and intuition.

In addition to brand and website design, she offers packaging and print design, including labels, custom stationery, and merch. Monica also works with select clients as a creative director, ensuring that every element of their growing business stays on-brand as they scale (look at that list of platforms above—she can literally handle everything).

Monica is the designer behind this incredible website for my client Gail, a systems strategist.

Webflow Website Designers for Wedding Pros

Standard Operations

Platform: Webflow, Squarespace

For you if: You think websites should be fun again

I’ve been following Ashleigh of Standard Operations through multiple iterations of her brand and website, and every single one has been unique. (For example, their current site allows you to toggle between four different color palettes based on your mood.)

As a Webflow designer and developer, Ashleigh can custom-code all kinds of features, including animations. And because they don’t just work with wedding pros, they’re going to have a fresh take on the industry.

Flying Colours Creative

Platform: Squarespace, Webflow

For you if: You want to ditch “professional” for a personality-filled website

Eva of Flying Colours Creative is a web designer for business owners who don’t want to force themselves to fit someone else’s definition of “professional.” She firmly believes that you get to show up as yourself at work, even if you’re marching to the beat of your own drummer.

She designs bold, playful, themed brands, then pairs them with a custom Webflow website and matching marketing assets (think Flodesk templates, social media graphics, and even a launch planner so you can make the most of your rebrand).

She also does branding for individual offers—perfect for launching a podcast or a program that’s an extension of your existing brand.

WordPress Website Designers For Wedding Pros

Celebrate Creative

Platform: WordPress

For you if: You need something truly custom

When I say custom, I’m not just talking about the aesthetic or the layout. Because Ami and the team at Celebrate Creative are WordPress developers, not just designers, they can build all kinds of complex setups.

If you want to create a searchable directory of wedding pros, let clients add wedding dresses to their wishlist, or build a fully custom portal for your membership, Ami and Jason can do it.

Questions You Might Have About Hiring a Website Designer

How do I know which platform is right for my business?

The “right” platform depends on your budget and how involved you want to be with maintenance once your site is live.

Platforms like Showit and Squarespace are popular because of their drag-and-drop interface, created with non-designers in mind. If you want to swap out some images on your portfolio page or update your availability on the contact page, you’ll be able to do it yourself.

Webflow has more flexibility and doesn’t require plugins for SEO purposes—all SEO features are native.

WordPress is capable of more complex builds, but it’s also less intuitive behind the scenes (especially a custom WordPress site). If you opt for WordPress, you may choose to work with your designer for updates.

When should I book my website designer?

Most of the website designers on this list book at least 2-3 months in advance, so you’ll want to reach out well before you want to go live.

If you’re planning to outsource your website copy, you’ll want to line up a copywriter so that they’re done writing your site before the web design stage starts.

What questions should I ask a website designer before I hire them?

A few ideas:

• What aspects of SEO do you handle?
• What do you need me to provide before we start work?
• How many rounds of revisions are included with my project?
• Do I need to provide you with the specific images I want to use, or do you curate them for me based on the design?

What aspects of SEO does a website designer handle?

Whether they get their copy from you or someone else, a designer needs to make sure headers are correctly tagged. They also typically optimize images, since the files you provide are often so large that they slow down the website loading time. Some of them may also rename image files and add alt text, but not everyone includes this, so definitely ask.

If you decide to hire one of the designers on this list, I’d love to be the one to write your website copy. Learn more about my website copywriting services or skip straight to booking a call with me.

"I felt really taken care of..."

MOLLIE ADAMS

“I was absolutely blown away with your talent for truly making me feel like my best friend wrote this. I felt really taken care of. Once I got the copy, I started crying because it was just so spot on. It was such a relief. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”
